I was able to get a few makeovers in this weekend. First up is this little cloche I scored for $4 at a local garage sale. I knew I wanted to do something Frenchy to it, and this Paris postmark was the perfect fit:
I'm pretty sure the image is from The Feathered Nest. I have so many random images saved onto my computer that it's hard to keep track sometimes.
After giving the base a few coats of white spray paint, I printed off the image onto label paper. I cut around the border and it fit perfectly! Just peel and stick.
I haven't added anything to it yet because Halloween decorations have taken over the house, but once they are neatly tucked away, I'll be adding something to it and displaying it on my vintage desk.

Very cute!
ReplyDeleteThe prices in Hell's Kitchen varied as well as the wares! Old stuff, new stuff and cheap crap - it is probably better in the summer. Very little furniture, lots of "manly" collectibles...I would never go again. As for meeting up, every time I go I think, Oh, I wish I had time to meet Jeanine - In the spring I would like to come for an overnight - and maybe we can meet up. I get so excited to shop and eat that the day flies by. This time I went to Canal St, then up to 57th by subway. I walked the rest of the day, down 5th, crosstown three-4 times, down to 34th...Have you been to uniqli or Joeys, NY? Fun stores!
I love it Jeanine! The graphics looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteIt doea look great, I love the unusual shape of the cloche and the graphics are the frosting on the cake. Thanks for sharing it!
