Upcycled Garage Sale Candleholder

*Don't forget to enter my giveaway here!*

I picked up this little candleholder at a garage sale on Friday.  It was black when I bought it and here it is now:
First, I spray painted it white.  Then I used Mod Podge to glue on my French script paper.  I used it on the back panel and then cut a little strip for the rim.
I hung it up in my tearoom.  I added a new candle design from my Etsy shop to it.  This one had a little oopsie so I couldn't sell it but it's just fine for my tearoom.
For 50 cents, I have a sweet little candeholder now!  I had everything I needed for this project.

  1. Very pretty! Much nicer in white, I think. Your candle goes perfectly with it.

  6. What a cool find...I'm sure I would not have even noticed it, much less thought of such a cute way to dress it up! Thanks for your kind comment on my "All Things French" post.
