Frenchy Peat Pots

Anyone else ready for spring?  I'm counting down the days after a horribly cold week here.  Peat pots always make me think of warmer days, so I embellished a couple over the weekend while we were staying warm indoors.
First I gave them a coat of white acrylic paint.  Then I ran some tissue paper through a printer to get these great French graphics.
I used Mod Podge to adhere them to each pot.  I love how the tissue paper seems to disappear and you're left with a beautiful image.
I finished them off with a simple faux pearl and stuffed them with faux Dollar Store moss.  They'll be ready for some spring touches in just a few weeks!

  2. Your Frenchy peat pots are so pretty! Once again we are on the same creative wave length, as I've been making the pots too! And I just made a French themed Valentine's Day one:) I'll post it tomorrow. How did you manage to get the tissue paper thru your printer??

  3. It's super easy to print on tissue paper. Although I have had a few mishaps. I cut the tissue paper smaller than a piece of cardstock, tape around the edges and then run through the printer. Sometimes it will rip or get stuck but if you play with it enough, it goes through smoothly.

  7. I love peat pots! I just got some hug snug in the mail today and was thinking about making some Easter or Spring ones. I love how you used the tissue paper to print on. I am going to have to try that. You have the best ideas!
I hope it warms up for you soon.
