I picked up some napkin rings a few weeks ago at our local thrift store. I finally got around to giving them a quick nautical makeover.
I started by using my handy hot glue gun and wrapping twine around the rings. Very tedious to say the least.
Once the twine was on, I used this great anchor rubber stamp I bought off Etsy last year to hand-stamp the image onto pieces of muslin.
I cut them down to size and clipped them on using some red safety pins. I have four more to do, and have to fix the top of the one I just noticed is showing some of the old napkin ring color. Doh!

Very cute! They will look good when you are eating outside this summer. The stamp came out so nice and clear, too.
ReplyDeleteI just love your projects! Very nautical and makes me think of summer. Don't worry about the peeking through part, you can still cover it. Made me smile.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful project. Love this nautical theme and how you used the jute with the red pinned anchor. Great creation!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
