I bought a few ceramic Christmas houses at the Dollar store a couple of weeks ago. They had a lot to choose from, but I settled on these four.
Once I got them home, I immediately painted them white. It took 3-4 coats of spray paint for each house.
Over the weekend, I finally got around to adding some German glass glitter to the tops using Mod Podge.
Easy peasy and more suited to my tastes! I paired them with some mini bottle brush trees I found on Etsy last year.
For $4, I have some pretty new holiday decorations!

They look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThese turned out sooooo cute! Seriously, you could have paid 4 times that amount if they started out looking this lovely:)
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty! I never would have guessed you stated with Dollar Store houses. Love the glitter!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a deal. I think there's a store around the corner. I'd love to find some.

They are gorgeous. I painted the same cottages white and added the green trees. They are in my etsy shop in a set of 6. I would love a set to keep. Maybe mine won't sell lol!!
ReplyDeleteWe were thinking alike on this one.
Your set of 4 is beautiful with the lighter trees.
Happy Thanksgiving!

The Christmas houses are beautiful. No one would ever think they came from the dollar store.
