White Wednesday

I picked up this little table a week ago from a garage sale.  I gave it a quick makeover using some Annie Sloan chalk paint and a French graphic I bought from Etsy some time ago.
I gave it two coats of ASCP on Sunday when it was semi-warm out.  Yesterday morning, I took my reversed image and Mod Podged it to the top.  Eight hours later, I used a wet paper towel to remove the paper - leaving just the graphic.
Once all my paper was off (or at least most of it!), I sanded it down a bit to give it a more aged look.  I then gave the top a coat of clear spray paint to seal the image.

I'm definitely getting better with the Mod Podge transfer method.  Wouldn't quite say I'm an expert yet as I always seem to have some random bits of paper that just won't come off.  Either way, I'm  happy with how my little $5 table turned out.

  1. I love your table! I have one kind of like it that I bought for $7. I painted it white as well and wanted to do a transfer top later on. Now maybe I will with the the Modge-Podge transfer technique. Gotta love Modge-Podge! Have a great day! ~ Jamie

  5. I'm awful at modpodge. :( I just am! The piece I did last year I gave to my daughter because she loved it. I thought mine was sloppy and yuck.

Yours on the other hand looks fab. I NEED LESSONS~

  7. Ooh love this little table. I'd like to try that technique but I'll probably mess it up.

I with Rebecca, I cannot use modpodge, I'm just not good at it.
