Okio B Designs

A craft, food, fashion, home & shopping blog

How many times have you passed by a basket like this while out thrifting?  Next time grab it!  So you can turn it from this...
Into this!
I grabbed this one from our local thrift store for 25 cents.  Yes, 25 cents!  I gave it a few coats of white spray paint for a fresh new look.  Then I added the number tag using my hot glue gun.
I finished it off by tying on a French market tag I made.  I'm using it to store some fabric remnants, but you could use it for anything from holding your mail to a magazine holder.

Not bad for 25 cents, eh?!

Raise your hand if you loved stickers when you were little.  I know I did (the Scratch 'n' Sniff ones were my favorites)!  So how excited was I when I was introduced to Stickii Club*?!
Stickii Club offers monthly sticker deliveries geared towards adults. It is a personalized service with three different sticker styles to choose from. With a different monthly theme for each style. Also included in the monthly mailings are stationery items that can include paperclips, notepads, postcards, embroidery sticker patches, and mini letter sets. STICKII subscriptions make perfect gifts. They currently offer three different monthly subscription packs - each costing just $10 per month:

  • Cute Pack: More cuteness than you ever thought could be stuffed in one package! This is for all those who love things super kawaii. Only get this if you’re cool with squealing uncontrollably.
  • Retro Pack: From the softer side of the provincial life to Victoriana to nature, this pack is for those who love things a bit more on the vintage side. Each pack contains stickers that are more like tiny works of art.
  • Pop Pack: Quirky. Offbeat. But always fun. March to the beat of a different drum? Don’t have a drum? These stickers are for you – those who want something unique and apart from the norm but still very cool.
I chose to check out their Retro Pack so I could dress up my Boss Lady journal (journal from Marshall's).  Seriously how cool is this?
I know, I know my handwriting is atrocious, but these stickers are so stinking cute that I don't even care how sloppy I am!
STICKII has museum licensing deals, including the Winterthur Museum, home of the largest collection of Victorian illustrations and ephemera.

STICKII also collaborates with independent artists, including JennIllustrations, SinisterSquids,Robot Dance Battle, Corgiyolk, Kiwihen Design, and Paca Merch.

In addition to their subscription service, STICKII has a sticker and stationery marketplace located in the ‘shop’ section of their website. A huge variety of stickers can be purchased, as well as STICKII exclusives, including unique sticker storage solutions. For more information, please visitwww.stickiiclub.com.

Want to grab your own?  Head on over to StickiiClub.com and get your own monthly subscription started!
