I still have a few of these large, Walmart peat pots lurking about.
I wanted to paint them a color other than white, so I did these using a pretty gray chalk paint from Annie Sloan.
I used the tissue paper/Modge Podge method for the image.
Normally, when you paint the peat pots white, the tissue paper kind of just blends in. With the gray, it definitely stands out more. At first I wasn't loving it, but now I'm kind of digging the shabby French look.
I have two more left and thinking pink might be another pretty color choice.
