Chalk Paint & Egg Crates

What to do when you're sick and trapped in the house because of the snow?  You break out some chalk paint and paper mache egg crates and get busy.

I bought a pack of these from Michael's last week.  After a coat of DecoArt chalk paint, they look ready for spring - which I'm soooo ready for after yesterday's snow.
I dressed this one up with tea-stained seam binding, faux moss and some eggs.  The little nest tag was my finishing touch.
How perfect are these for Valentine's Day, Easter, etc.?

    Love your egg crates. I just purchased a stack of these in greenish aqua.They make the cutest baskets. Hope you feel better. Stay warm inside.
