Okio B Designs

A craft, food, fashion, home & shopping blog

I'm just about done with the finishing touches on our beachy porch theme.  I have a few more things to add like Dollar Store sand buckets, candle holder jars (with sand), citronella candle buckets and the anchor plaques.  Here we are as of today.
We spend a lot of time on our porch swing.  I bought the cushion from The Christmas Tree Shops.  It's not included in my $100 budget as I bought it before I set my budget/theme.  It was $29.99.  The pillows are from Pottery Barn outlet.  We picked them up last year.
I've shown this table and some of these pieces before.  Excuse my husband's beer cans in the FIRE bucket.  Doh!
Here is the whale my Dad made.  Pesky shadow in the photo doesn't do it justice.  He did a great job and I love it!  The hanging fish are from Gina at The Shabby Creek Cottage's Etsy shop.  I bought them in watermelon and blue a couple of years ago.  I love both colors but chose to use the watermelon ones for this theme.
Other side of the porch.  My Target Threshold ottoman ($35.99 with 10 percent off) landed today.  Yay!  I love the pop of color it adds.  The starfish pillows are also Threshold for Target.  They were $14.99 each.
Another ottoman view.
I really love the color it adds to our porch.  The green siding with the black LL Bean rocking chairs left it looking a bit dull but now it screams color!  And I'm happy that I gave myself a budget and stuck to it.

It's been a really beautiful weekend here.  I almost feel like Spring is nipping at my heels.  The mild weather inspired me to put out some of our Easter decorations.
A Spring nest propped onto a vintage typewriter.
Nests and eggs are everywhere!  See the little bunnies tucked into the egg cups?!  I keep them out all year.
More nests.  I have mason jars in a milk bottle carrier as our centerpiece on the dining room table.  Some have candy and some have eggs.  Not sure if you can see the two bunnies behind the nests.  They are salt and pepper shakers from the Pottery Barn outlet.  So are the little nests with eggs.
This sweet bunny is from Home Goods.

I can't wait to break out our Pottery Barn egg plates and egg cups.  We're having Easter at our house this year so I'll be able to put them to good use.

Brrrr...it's chilly here today but putting out some Easter decorations puts a little Spring in my step.  I feel like a kid at Christmas time when I unpackage all of my goodies from previous years:
These are actually little bunny candleholders from the Pottery Barn outlet.  The tapers didn't make it.  Sadly, they all bent.  Still, I like them even without the candles.
My favorite Easter banner!  Bought it off Etsy last year.
More Pottery Barn outlet finds...paper mache eggs.  Can't wait to fill these with some candy for my boys.
I love this little HOP set.  Another beauty I snagged off Etsy last year!  The two silver bunnies in front are salt and pepper shakers from, yup you guessed it, the Pottery Barn outlet.
This is the $1.99 nest from Home Goods.  The little bunny pot-holder is from a garage sale.

I have a few more decorations to break out.  Trying to pace myself but since we don't really decorate for St. Patrick's Day and with Easter being early this year, I figured what the heck!
