A craft, food, fashion, home & shopping blog

I've been wanting to do a book page wreath for years now.  To be honest, the whole concept has always scared the bejesus out of me. I had visions of hot gluing my fingers together or running out of pages halfway through.  Still, I took the plunge during the week and...
Made this sweet little wreath for our front door.  I found a super simple tutorial to follow from Pinterest.  It's the one where you use a mascara tube to bunch of your pages and then simply glue them on (one at a time) to your wreath.
The whole project took about 30 minutes and I only hot glued my fingers twice!  Seriously, though, I only did one layer to start.  I feel like it needs another one, but I don't think it will fit between our glass door and wood door, so I'm going to stick with one layer for now.
I'm amazed at how easy it was and kind of kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

I love bunnies, don't you?  I have them all over the house and not just for Easter.  It must run in the family because my Mom and sister love them too.
I whipped up a few bunny projects earlier in the week.  For this sweet lavender bunny sachet, I used some Osnaburg fabric, Poly-Fil and lavender buds.  I thought the little bow was a cute touch.  It smells delish!
I also made this pretty bunny pillow using an image I found on Etsy.  Again, I used Osnaburg fabric and Poly-Fil.  I used the last of my TAP paper to get the image onto the front of the pillow.  Sadly, I see TAP paper is sold out almost everywhere.  Such a shame; it really is the best transfer paper out there.
I'm glad to have my crafting mojo back and with roughly a month to go until spring starts, I'm glad to know I'll be able to get outside and do some painting projects too.

Got a bit of my crafting mojo back.  And since it's a cold, miserable Sunday, I didn't mind staying in and spending time in my craft room.
This project took me literally 5 minutes from start to finish.
You probably know how much I love Ikea's stripe towels.  I've used them in a ton of projects and I always have a bunch on hand. Today I used one along with TAP paper and this great image from the Graphics Fairy.
Simply print your image onto the TAP paper (reversing it first), cut out, iron on and voila: instant tea towel.

I love how it looks against the black towels I have hanging from the oven.  The best part: these towels cost about 79 cents a piece!

I'm experiencing my third - yes, third! - cold of the season.

I had two boys home sick a few weeks ago.  Then one was home with a fever, runny nose and cough.  Just when I thought I was out of the woods...BANG!  I got hit with it.  Again.  Colds seem to go round-robin in my house and Mom is the one always down for the count.

I'm tired, cranky and counting down the days until spring so I can open some windows and let the germs out.

I love book stacks.  I have them all over the house.  Sure, it pains me to rip apart perfectly good books, but the end result is so worth it.
I'm not making much for Valentine's Day this year since I have a ton of decorations from previous years and I've simply run out of room.  Still, I wanted to make something.
I used three books, vintage lace, buttons, twine, my glue gun and some other pieces.  First, glue all of your lace onto the fronts of the books.  Then add your buttons.  I printed out the Cupid image onto sticker paper so I could just peel and stick it onto the first book.
Tie with twine and done!

I have three more books and will likely make another set just because I love them so much.
