A craft, food, fashion, home & shopping blog

If you have some vintage book paper (or sheet music) and some cut-out letters, here's a super easy summer decoration.
I whipped up this cute beach banner in between weekend barbeques and the crummy weather.
I used my Cricut to cut out the letters and starfish, but you could easily use chipboard pieces or print directly onto your book paper.
After gluing each letter on, I punched holes at the tops of each page.  Then I used some twine to loop through the pages in order to hang it.  See what I mean?  Super easy and super cute!  I have it hanging in our kitchen where the color matches perfectly!

It's been cold (!) and rainy here since Thursday.  Boo!  Not exactly a great start to the holiday weekend.
The garage sales are few and far between.  I spent $2 this morning for this lovely statue of St. Theresa.  And that's it.  At least I have some time to work on some new items for my Etsy shop.
Framed Jane Austen silhouette on French paper.
New clothes pins.
Skeleton key lavender sachets.
Wood tags.

Hoping for blue skies and warm weather for the rest of the weekend!

I've been wanting to do a copycat of this Pinterest pin since last summer.  All you need are some flower pots, chalk paint and a few pretty French graphics.  Put them all together and voila...
...Frenchy flower pots!  I gave each pot a coat of Old White ASCP.  I also painted a little around the inside rims but not the entire way down.  I got a little lazy and if I ever actually use them for plants, it won't matter anyway.
I used decal paper to adhere the images to each pot.  The bee ones are from Etsy.  The French hotel image I found on Pinterest.

I might do a few more in different shades of ASCP.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of yesterday's horrible tornado in Oklahoma.  I'm just so heartbroken for the residents of Moore.  Hugging my boys a little tighter today.

Remember the little wood tray I picked up over the weekend at a local garage sale?  It has officially become part of my beachy porch.
I wanted a little tray to serve drinks and snacks on and well, this was just perfect.  I gave it a fresh coat of white paint (a couple actually), did a little sanding around the edges and added the lobster image (from the Graphics Fairy).
I used waterslide decal paper again, although I'm a little nervous since this will be outside.  I'm sure the heat and humidity will do a number on it, and I'll have to redo it before summer is over.
For now, I'm enjoying every minute of it.  Drinks are served!

Between track, little league and Cub Scouts, I haven't had time to hit too many garage sales.  I did pop by one yesterday on our way back from track practice.  Scooped up a few goodies for about $5.
I love the vintage look of the Toilettes sign.  I can't resist little wood trays so that got snatched up too.
My hubby collects salt & pepper shakers so I grabbed the fish ones for him.  The glass ones are for moi.

It's raining here today so I think that's about all I will get to nab this weekend.
